All But the Bosphorus (8/22/15) - coming in the next post

Police station guards armed with assault rifles

Up to Archeological museums we go.

Fresh feet for the day!

More assault rifles at the museums.

Helen taking a picture of a cat (There are thousands of feral cats!)

K & H at the entrance to the archeological museums.

Life imitating Art.

Guess who in this picture is over 1500 years old and lined the wall behind the Ishtar Gate.

She found the only seat in this massive museum!

Kevin being Kevin.

Helen's response to Kevin being Kevin.

Still loving the patio (Margaret, note the LandVest hat).

And, again.

You get the picture!

Time for a St. Vinnie's run.

In front of a fountain (non-functioning because of it's age)

Starting to fade - there are a LOT of dead people here! (Sarcophagus at left).

Kevin just saying hi to the guy inside.

Chillin' with the Sarcophs.

Terminal for the once running Orient Express.

Life imitating Art II

Yes, Margaret there was even a tombstone for this guy's dog! (circa 1085).
It read "His owner has buried the dog Parthenope, that he played with, in gratitude for this happiness (mutual) love is rewarding, like the one for this dog: having been a friend to my owner I have deserved this grave:
Looking at this, find yourself a worthy friend who is both ready to love you while you are still alive and also will care for your body (when you die)."

Still the same museum.
